The ropes course, climbing tower, dune buggies, muddy games, Young Life Club, cabin time, messages about the life of Jesus – just another day at Woodleaf! I can’t believe we’ve already experienced so much in just a few short days. Our kids are loving every minute of it. Young Life camps are so well thought out and there are so many details that are thought through that make kids feel like honored guests. Which they are!

Our speaker, Dave Wilson from Santa Clarita, has been teaching this week on identity – how we all too often take on false identities when all along God has his God-crafted, unique identity for each one of us. So often in the Bible, we see Jesus not only healing or teaching people but restoring identities – Zaccheaus, Bartimeus, Levi, Lazarus, the paralytic by the pool, on and on. The theme of broken identity is universal to the human condition and yet speaks powerfully to high school kids. Dave is great at putting the scriptures into the language of teenagers and our kids are tracking.

Please pray that God would continue to meet each and every student right where they are this week. Please pray that each student would have a significant experience with Christ – through Dave’s messages or cabin time or the great community we’re experiencing or being out in God’s creation.

Please also pray for our incredible leaders as they walk with students this week!
